Out原来是指发牌的时候跳过某人，引申为“排挤在外”的意思。另外，很多人在谈判最后打成共识，要喊“成交”的时候也是叫“Deal”。这里的Deal同样是从发牌的意思过来的。牌局开始之前玩家要讨论规则和赌注，一切商定之后就“deal”，发牌了… 　　Draw摸牌---------Touch这个“摸”更多是强调“接触一下”，而摸牌的这个“摸”具有粘滞性，是“摸进”的意思，英语中说成“Draw”。大 家应该都记得，“抽屉”的英文是drawer，其中draw就是“抽，拉”的意思。“摸进”牌和“拉”抽屉一样，都是把物体向自己的方向牵动。 　　Sort：整理，理牌。Play：打出。Play…card就是“打出…牌”。比如，play a strategy card，打出一张锦囊牌。这个词组还可以引申为“使用…招数”的意思。小孩子吵架的时候，最看不起的就是有人“Play the parent card”，打不过别人回去搬家长出来当救兵… 　　full house，flush同花，straight顺子，flush的意思是“同花”，或者说是麻将里的“清一色”。扑克牌中五张花色相同、大小没有规律的牌的组合就是Flush，Flush的大小看 其中最大的一张牌。比如Ace-high Flush就是Ace最大的同花组合。 　　straight最基本的解释是“连续的”。比如straight wins就是“连胜”。扑克牌中大小连续的牌，就是顺子。把两个词连起来，得到同花顺，就是straigh flush… 　　full house前文已经提到过，指3个跟一对的牌型。一行三，就是threes full“炸弹”怎么说。很可惜，英语中只是把炸弹称为“四张一样的牌”，Four of a kind. 4炸弹，就是Four of fours…，也有地方叫成quads。扑克牌中大小一样叫of the same rank,花色一样叫of the same suit,都一样叫做…same炸弹有时可以单挂一张废牌，这个废牌叫做kicker，或者side card。 　　和八十分里面都要在四个花色里面指定一个花色为Trump(王)，比其他花色都大。如果这一圈出草花，一名玩家草花牌已经绝掉(Void)，就可以用一张王牌进行阻截。特别强调，王trump和王牌(Ace)是不一样的。Ace就是指A，只有一张，一支队伍的王牌一般也只有一个。Trump这个王是指一个花色，有13张之多。 　　摸牌阶段，玩家可以bid(叫牌)决定这一轮王的花色。如果玩家手上方块牌多，就可以扔出一张方块2，bid方块为王。对手可以用两张别的花色的2，比如一对草花2，来overbid(造反)，改定草花为王。做庄的人叫做trumpmaker，底牌叫做kitty。 　　Joker怪（鬼），这个词本身是“小丑”的意思。扑克牌中是最大的鬼牌。扑克牌本身是欧洲人的作品，只有这两张牌是美国人的贡献。大怪叫Red Joker，小怪叫Black Joker。有些游戏中规定鬼牌是“百搭”，可以当作任意牌打出，这在英语中称为“wild card”。 　　hit/miss摸到想摸的牌，凑成自己想做的牌，比如一副炸弹，叫hit。如果摸到一张废牌，就是miss。house rules，扑克牌的规则在各个地方都有差别，玩家常常会在玩牌前先确定规则。某一个俱乐部或某一组牌友打牌时的特定规则称为house rulescheating作弊。作弊高手叫cardshark，=中文的老千。　　作为中国的国粹，麻将（Mahjong）不但风行全国各地，现在还流行到了美国。本文为大家介绍一些这种风行国外的麻将现象并汇总一些麻将中英文术语供参考。 　　Mahjong (/mɑːˈʒɒŋ/ mah-ZHONG) is a tile-based game that originated in China during the Qing dynasty. It is commonly played by four players (with some three-player variations found in South Korea andJapan). The game and its regional variants are widely played throughout Eastern and South Eastern Asia and have a small following in Western countries. Similar to the Western card game rummy, Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation and involves a degree of chance. 　　The game is played with a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols, although some regional variations may omit some tiles and/or add unique tiles. In most variations, each player begins by receiving 13 tiles. In turn players draw and discard tiles until they complete a legal hand using the 14th drawn tile to form 4 melds (or sets) and a pair (eye). A player can also win with a small class of special hands.
